Eternal beauty floating in the moonlight. An elegant piece nurturing rich sensibility and intellect.
A poignant scene of Princess Kaguya reflecting on her celestial home under the moonlight, expressing tranquil beauty and poetic depth. The figure is rendered in 3D using the traditional “Oshie” technique, combining soft cotton and fine silk on a durable paulownia wood base. This Hagoita captures the princess’s noble spirit and her deep connection to the heavens, serving as a wish for inner peace, wisdom, and the appreciation of eternal beauty. It is a sophisticated cultural decorative piece that honors the deep emotional resonance of Japan’s most famous legend. Traditionally gifted for the first New Year, it represents the wish for the child to grow with a sensitive heart, protected by the watchful light of the moon. This artwork is a symbol of the high ideals and the graceful presence that a girl is hoped to embody as she grows.
